We all survived our dalliance with the hand, foot and mouth virus and are ready for summer adventures to begin! We are still working on figuring out what we are going to do, but camping is definitely on the horizon. Our first trip will be a week with Yaya and Papa in Santa Cruz, we have to leave Kevin home to work but Joey and I are looking forward to lots of time at the beach and maybe a few rides at the Boardwalk :) In the meantime, here is what we have been up to lately...
Spent some time in Santa Cruz in the beginning of May, of course we went to the beach with cousins

We went to the zoo with friends, there were peafowl everywhere

and bears

and lions

they also had a train, can you guess which part was Joey's favorite?

We celebrated some friend's birthdays in Monterey

showing his friend that he saw a spider in the hole that was "this" big

good friends help unwrap gifts

then we headed back to the beach with cousins...this time the sun made an appearance ;)

brave boy actually went into the water

We went to big truck day where we saw...
a garbage truck

and Street Sweepers!!

and this thing

Then, he turned THREE!!! He had a fire truck, ambulance, police car and helicopter themed birthday party at Safetyville.
Of course, we made a fire truck cake

enjoyed a fun day riding around with friends

he was only concerned with eating the candy lights off the cake

the heat started to make us silly

I guess a big birthday party wasn't enough so we did a concert in the park the same night!!

the next day we headed to the park to play with a new toy

We had an incredible day cherry picking and picnicing with our play group
Ringing the big bell

With his BFF, Finn

delicious cherries

chewing on the tree like a triceratops, because they are herbivores

tired and dirty
