Keeping busy

I can't find my video camera, so I can't show you how fast Joey is at crawling now...but, trust me he is FAST! Fast, and oh so curious! I bought some "baby-proofing" items the other day, they may call themselves baby proof but they are certainly not Joey proof ;) I am constantly amazed at how he is able to figure things out, sure it makes everyday activities like loading the dishwasher and cooking dinner about 1000x more difficult but it also makes me feel so lucky to watch this little person figure the world out. Here are some pictures of the daily adventures this past week...

He is very much into feeding himself now, including using utensils. He especially loves forks, he does let me put the food on the fork but he takes over after that point. However, at 11 1/2 months old, he isn't the most adept at this self-feeding gig and it gets a bit messy ;)






Last week we went on a field trip to a nature preserve with our playgroup.

The other night I was working on a project that needed ribbon so I brought out my bin of ribbon samples. Joey decided to help me find with my project



Since I can't find my video camera, here is a picture series to show how he gets down the stairs, this was in about 5 seconds...





At night before bed, we put the toys away in their bins. However, by about 4pm the next day it always looks like this...



But, look at that face, you can forgive any mess for that face



He does like to be helpful though, see how he "helps" Daddy fill the dishwasher
