A day in San Francisco

I recently celebrated my 31st birthday, and Kevin (being the amazing husband that he is) gifted me an incredible day in San Francisco! We started off with a leisurely BART ride into the city from the East Bay. It was a beautiful spring day, not a patch of fog in site (which is rare in SF), we got off BART about a mile from our destination and walked, enjoying the weather.

Here we are in front of City Hall

We arrived at our destination, the Orpheum theatre, to see WICKED!! (By the way, we are HUGE fans of all Musical theatre)
We tried several times to get a self-portrait in front of a Wicked sign, it never really worked...sometimes it's hard to travel without a personal photographer!

The show was fantastic, but the piece de la resistance (this should be read with a bad french accent) was an opportunity for me to have my picture taken with the cast after the show!

We then headed over to the Embarcadero for dinner (mental note: I do not like seafood, so, going to the neighborhood literally ON the water was not a wise choice in seeking non-swimming food). We found a little taqueria in the Ferry building and managed to take a great self portrait in front of the Bay Bridge

We thought we were being smart staying in the City until after 7pm to avoid the weekday rush hour. So, we were understandably perplexed when we ended up on of a million sardines shoved into the BART can. Turns out there was a Britney Spears concert at the Oakland Colliseum...wow, she attracts an eclectic crowd. We finally made it to our car, tired and reminiscing about the wonderful day!
