Kid on the move

Here in Sactown, we have this great place called Safetyville. It is a miniature town that is meant to teach kids about road safety as pedestrians, on bicycles and in cars. This summer they are having free family nights on Thursdays, so we packed up the tricycle (and helmet of course) for a night of safe cycling. Even though Joey is not using the pedals on his bike quite yet, he still had a blast in Safetyville.

He was (of course) intrigued by the rail road crossing, and had to see where those tracks went

very excited to see an ambulance (he calls them wee-ooh wee-oohs) at the mini-hospital

it was also the perfect place to practice his daredevil moves

he also had fun riding on cousin Brody's motorized four-wheeler

Joey just spent his first overnight without us, he had so much fun with Mimi and Grandpa. We had a blast at my cousin's wedding, but sure did miss our sweet boy. We have a lot of adventures on the horizon. First we will be celebrating my other Grandma's 90th birthday with a huge family party. Then Joey and I are headed to Washington DC with Yaya. After that we are roughing it on a camping trip with my brother's family. And we will be finishing the summer with a road trip through Oregon!
