Happy Thanksgiving and other fall adventures

I came on just to do a quick Happy Thanksgiving post and realized I never posted all the pictures from our October adventures...sorry! So, here is what we did last month...

We started the fall/Halloween season with the obligatory trip to Apple Hill. Our first trip was with friends, it ended up being a rainy day but the kids had fun anyway. Kevin had Columbus day off work so for a week we planned on doing a family day at Apple Hill. We woke up that morning to a gray drizzly day, but figured we could still go. The further up highway 50 we drove, the harder the rain fell...but we kept going. When we finally arrived at the first orchard, it was pouring! But, that's what rain boots and umbrellas are for :)

at least the apple bins were indoors

nothing warms you up like caramel dipped apples

The rain finally started to subside so Joey ran around for a bit

Our next adventure was the first (of four) trips to a pumpkin patch. This was with our playgroup and although only a few days after our freezing, wet trip to get apples it was a hot day (love that wacky October weather).

There was a corn box...like a sand box but with corn

corn is almost as fun as a big pile of dirt

a few days later we were back at the same pumpkin patch for a birthday party, this time we spent some time on the tractor

Joey and I did a little visit to Yaya and Papa's house, while we were there we went to the marine lab and touched some star fish.

and went to the beach

and bowled with cousins

And (as always) the end of October was Halloween. Joey went as a street sweeper, which is his current favorite truck.
